The Mum Mane: The Wrapped Bun
As mums (or moms, depending on where you are following from) we tend to spend most of our time caring for our little ones. It’s just part of the job (that we secretly love!). But I have always felt that when I feel good about myself and how I look, my mood tends to be a little better, which in turn helps me do a better job as a mom.

The tricky part is, most days we have very little time to get all dolled up like we used to (I mean who knew that babies don’t usually sleep like babies?!?). Which led me to start a quest to find ways I could do my hair that made it look like the baby had slept all dang day. Or I was superwoman. Or both.
Since we know there’s gotta be other moms out there struggling with the same thing, we created a blog series that will feature mom-friendly hairstyles. Translation: they’ll be quick and easy, but still make you feel like a babe. So without further ado, here is the first hair tutorial in our series – The Mum Mane. This one is the ever versatile Wrapped Bun.
Step One.
Part your hair however you’d like. I chose to do a deep part.

Step Two.
Start pulling your hair into a ponytail but at the last pull through, don’t pull it all the way. Leave a tail hanging down in the back.

Step Three.
Wrap the tail around the elastic and tuck it into the elastic to hold.

Step Four.
Pull out sections along the crown to fluff it up and to give your hair a little body. You can mess around with the bun a bit to get it how you like it. I also pulled hair down around my face. Finish off with hairspray if you’d like.

And that’s a wrap. Pun intended.

Honestly, I’d say that about 95% of the time my hair is in some variation of this bun. Sometimes I will braid my bangs in the front. Sometimes I will tease it and pull it straight back. And other times I like to do a deep part on the side for a sleek, professional look. All of the variations are equally as pretty and so simple.
